Our Story

Education has shaped both of our lives — and for neither of us did it come easily. One of us immigrated and worked to pay tuition while helping sustain family back home. The other grew up in an immigrant family, working alongside parents to help make quality education possible for everyone in the household. We know firsthand the barriers that stand between people and the education that can change their lives — because we lived them.

This fund is our way of lowering that barrier for someone else. We believe education is one of the most powerful paths to a stable, dignified livelihood, and we wanted to create something that reflects both that belief and our shared values around giving back. M & J Foundation exists to help make that path a little easier for the next person walking it.
